Second tattoo my artist Dav and I designed. I’ve always loved giraffes (I’m pretty tall myself) and life has thrown me some punches that don’t leave me feeling too well after. After three years of playing together, Miles Davis’ “second great quintet” had evolved into a tight, athletic and adventurous crew. When the band toured Europe in 1967, it made some music for the ages — and luckily, much of that trip was recorded. It will be released by Sony Legacy on Sept. 13 as ‘Live In Europe 1967: Bootleg Series Vol. 1.’
